As a Barclays Chief Control Office Data Science and Analytics VP, you will lead on the overall development, implementation and embedment of the CCO Data Science and Analytics strategy. This is an exciting new space in which to apply data science and analytics tools and techniques, building a data mind-set across CCO. You will bring expert-level data science and analytics experience into the risk and control environment, empowering colleagues to proactively manage risk.

What will you be doing?
• Proactively identifying opportunities for data science/ analytics
  • Understanding, evaluating, translating, and delivering control requirements into data science/ analytics use-cases
  • Developing a culture of continual improvement, including delivering new innovative Data science/ analytics use cases
  • Identifying potential areas for high value-add collaboration with other data science/ analytics teams across Barclays
  • Mentoring and training junior team members and CCO data specialists
  • Acting as trusted advisor to senior stakeholders
What we’re looking for:
• Proven ability to formulate and execute a strategy where a playbook may not exist
  • Broad experience in influencing senior stakeholders, and should be as comfortable contributing to a “business meeting” as a technical one
  • Broad experience training end users in data science and analytics technologies
  • Proven expertise with the Python Data Science stack, including libraries such as Scikit-learn, Numpy, Scipy, Pandas, etc
Skills that will help you in the role:
• Proven experience working with SQL, Alteryx, Tableau and Cloud
  • Broad experience working with Cloud solution
  • Experience using Machine Learning, and Artificial Intelligence methods to problem solving
  • Proven experience in influencing senior stakeholders, and be the key person in translating business requirements into technical plans, and delivering results back into the business

Where will you be working?
You will be based in Radbroke, Knutsford. The Barclays Technology Campus just outside Manchester is our tech command Centre and a vital strategic powerhouse behind our global operations. The campus is set in a 64acre self-contained site, in a beautiful green environment and it offers unrivalled facilities for work and for play. We have an onsite gym, as well as outdoor tennis, football and cricket areas, as well as onsite restaurant and coffee shops.
